hail the beard!

it traps malignant bacteria
from entering the lungs.
hygienic concerns are hysteria
from biology’s lower rungs
shaven skin is the best substrata
for letting bacteria grow
cuts from shaving make the chance greater
for a serious germ inflow
a shaven face is thus unhygienic.
if hair are really something to fear
we’ll soon all be schizophrenic:
eyelashes, eyebrows, nostrils and ear
will all be subjected to shaving
the only way around
this hell will be a complete waiving
of testes’ hormones abound-
ing. so yes, hail the beard, let us praise it
from now on nevermore haze it.
